USACO Contest

USACO Contest Gateway is just the USA national contests by net, and well-beloved by students - no matter high school or college - from all parts of the world. It is separated into three parts, GREEN, ORANGE and BLUE. The following description of them are copied from the Contest Rule Page.

* A GREEN division for the experts and those vying for participation at the USACO and IOI.  This is an invitation-only division.  If you scored 800 or more points in an orange contest, email an invitation request to kolstad@ace.delos.com if you find you are not invited.

* An ORANGE division for newer members who are still working their way up to more difficult problems.  The top few placers in the ORANGE contest will be invited and required to move up in future contests to the GREEN division.

* A BLUE division for those just starting to program. This division features much easier problems that do not require the 'algorithmic knowledge' that the orange and green divisions do.  You may not enter the BLUE division if you have completed Section 2 of the USACO training pages (the training pages are found at http://train.usaco.org).  The top few placers in the blue contest will be required to move up in future contests to the orange division.

  Each year, there will be 6 contests, from about November to April in the next year. You could register your account in http://ace.delos.com/ioigate, you’ll get more information there. The webmaster of it is Rob Kolstad, who is the head coach of USA national team.
